The Department of Education Studies at UC San Diego is recruiting an Assistant Professor with expertise in Teacher Learning, Leadership, and Policy to join our faculty in July 2016. The successful candidate will join the Department of Education Studies during the inaugural year of our new PhD program in Education: Transforming Education in a Diverse Society. With a commitment to excellence and diversity, the Department of Education Studies (EDS) at the University of California, San Diego invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Teacher Learning, Leadership, and Policy, starting July 1, 2016. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a program of research at UCSD that contributes significantly to the national dialogue in one of the following areas: teacher preparation, learning, and development; teacher leadership; teacher policy; teaching and instructional change; or related topics. Within these broad research areas, candidates’ research agenda should address issues in educational equity and diversity, as well as demonstrate advanced expertise in quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods.
