Coordinating Group member Miguel Angel Lopez Montoya announced on November 16 that The Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) has become ARNA's first Institutional Sponsor. UABC is a public university with more than 50,000 students at three main campuses and five sub-campuses in the state of Baja California. The main campuses are located in the cities of Mexicali, Ensenada, and Tijuana. UABC was officially formed in 1957 and is now considered one of Mexico's major universities. ARNA leadership is pleased to welcome UABC as a sponsoring institution, and we look forward to working together to strengthen the role of action research and participatory action research in Baja, in Mexico, and throughout the Americas.
