Org Committee Planning
As of June 19, 2013 the original ARNA Organizing Committee has been decommissioned. In its place, a 7 member Transition Coordinating Group has been established and is hard at work over the summer, continuing to build the base for ARNA and develop projects and initiatives for ARNA's second year.
The file below ("Letter to Original Org. Com. Members . . .") is a letter sent to all members of the original committee, thanking them for their service and describing key issues in the post-conference transition. One correction to note in this letter: The coordinator of the ARNA in Espanola Working Group is Miguel Angel Lopez Montoya. Camilo Mancholo is the 2014 Conference Liaison for the ARNA in Espanola working group and is member-at-large of the Coordinating Group. Camilo became active in ARNA in February and has been building interest and support in Columbia, where he is a lecturer at a university in Bogota, and throughout Latin America.
At present, the following Working Groups have been commissioned: Coordinating Group; Web Development & Technology Working Group; Membership, Sponsorships, and Affiliations Working Group; 2014 Conference Planning Committee; School Counseling Working Group. If you wish to participate in one of these groups, please contact Shelley Yearley at email@example.com.

The organizing committee meets on the second friday of the month. Generally we discuss the reports from each of the five working committees and we we discuss the plans for on-going development of the community. If there are ideas you want to share with us, suggestions for new approaches, or questions you want us to respond to, please feel free to start a discussion here and we will add the items to our agenda.
I creating a pubic discussion space for the web group that is similar to this space for the organizing committee. Theses are open spaces inviting any member to post or comment on ideas. Would the other committees like to have a an open discussion space that is linked to the committee page? Our web team would be happy to set up a space for you to discuss committee ideas. If there are discussions that are sensitive, you might want to use group email.
Look for reports from the ARNA Working Groups beginning November 19. The Organizing Committee for ARNA is made of five working groups. The groups now have begun to take up a variety of tasks associated with building the network. Stay tuned for news from the Working Groups.
