Fellow Action Researchers,
Proposals for the 2014 ARNA Conference “Enacting our Beliefs: The So-What of Action Research” to be held May 22-24 on the campus of Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA are DUE BY 20 MARCH 2014, allowing an extra five days to submit your proposal!
Proposals that focus on the theoretical and practical outcomes of a wide range of action research activity are invited. The call for proposals is available at https://sites.google.com/site/arnaconnect/2014-arna-conf. The Conference Planning Committee is committed to at least 25% of sessions being presented in languages other than English and will feature real-time translation of sessions identified in the “Action Research in Translation” strand.
Participants may also plan to take part in CARN’s first Study Day on the East Coast of the Americas entitled “What Happens to Action Research After the Master’s Degree?” on May 22. Mary McAteer of Britain’s Edge Hill University will facilitate.
The Conference Planning Committee is quite pleased to note that Marilyn Cochran-Smith and Susan Lytle will make a joint keynote address in Moravian College’s Lewis Wilson Foy Concert Hall at the ARNA conference on May 23. More information about their address and the Spanish-speaking keynote to be delivered on May 24 will appear soon on the ARNA website at http://arnaconnect.org. In addition, Jean McNiff will follow up on her 2013 ARNA keynote by participating in and leading a variety of sessions at ARNA 2014.
We look forward to seeing you in Pennsylvania in May and to receiving your proposal by March 20!
