Dear friend of ARNA:
As we come to the close of 2014 we celebrate all of the work that ARNA has accomplished in just two short years. We are preparing for our third annual conference to be held in Toronto, May 8-10, 2015. We have facilitated connections amongst several thousand global action researchers.
We have remained committed to our vision of taking action locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally to promote action research that is conducted with a commitment to honesty, integrity, inclusiveness, multi-vocality, engagement, and achievement within sustainable democratic societies.
We want to honor the140 members who represent institutions in Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Mexico, The United States, as well as countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe. If you visit our website, you will note the many accomplishments of our members, and links to view past conferences as well as information about our upcoming conference. Our website is a “wiki” website, which means all of our members have helped create this website, which pulls us together. Please join us and you can edit and add information to the website. Be sure to check out the work of our newly formed special interest groups and working groups via corresponding tabs on the website. Check out our newest addition to the website:
Founding Members: To our founding members, a sincere thank you for making ARNA possible. We want you to see this as YOUR community and are looking forward to having all of you renew your membership. We also encourage you to share this email message with those whom you believe would benefit from the ARNA network and membership.
New Members: To those who are considering joining us in 2015, we encourage you to join with us and become a new member in order to make ARNA a stronger and better community by visiting our “Become a Member” page on our website.
Sponsor ARNA: Institutional Members and Conference Sponsors help to further the ARNA network and support the annual conference. Please encourage your institution to join, as there are many marketing and membership benefits to institutional membership and conference sponsorship. In addition, sponsorship by an institution helps us to keep conference fees low, so as to encourage broad, global participation. Please visit our “Sponsor ARNA” page for more information.
We are proud to welcome our first Institutional/Conference Sponsor for 2015: Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania—who has sponsored us every year—Thank you! We hope more of you will follow as we continue to support the work of action researchers around the globe, and in particular in the Americas.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions about ARNA.
